Away with murder.

Editor,

Why are we fighting with giant corporations who are in the business of ripping everybody off? Why do they own our government? Why are we working for them when they should be working for us? Our nation wasn't founded by corporations, and it wasn't founded for corporations. Why are politicians so corrupt and so afraid to stand up for the people of this nation against the predators and plunderers who are getting away with murder?

Is there a difference being beholden to "greedy corporations" vs. beholden to a union organization or ACORN? Face it, liberal politicians have their snouts in the trough just as much as conservatives. As an independent and fiscal conservative, it is really an easy question for you and all of our fellow citizens. "What do want and what are your willing to pay for?" Every organization has a budget and that includes the U.S. Government. Unfortunately, our citizens believe that we can have anything that strikes our fancy (free universal health care, prescription drug benefit, greater education funding, social security, etc.). One of the biggest problems in the U.S. is too many of our citizens and the U.S. Government live beyond their means. Figure out what you want and what you are willing to pay. If that translates into 100% of your pre-tax income, so be it.
