How do these guys get elected? Why are so many voters unable to smell a rat when a rat is spewing obviously sanctimonious guile? Why do so many Americans want to believe that lily-white saints and angels hold public office? Why does other people's sexual behavior always lose to the license to commit larceny in American politics?
