Big profits.

Editor,

Why is spending money on children's health care the exception and not the rule in the United States? Oh. Capitalism. I almost forgot.

Big banks need big taxpayer bailouts to pay themselves big bonuses. Big corporations need cheap, cheap labor and cannot afford to pay any taxes because they need big profits. The military needs $600 billion a year, not counting their wars, to make sure no one anywhere tries spending bankers' and corporations' money on children's health care.
