If it were possible to get through to the soldiers who are obeying the orders to deploy and fight these wars, mass insurrection in the military would put a stop to it.
A draft, by contrast, would ensnare a certain number of people unable to resist it in exactly the nightmare into which today's soldiers are being thrust.
