What about the 5 or 6 percent of people who won't be covered? Do they just disappear? What about low-income women on federally subsidized plans who need an abortion and can't afford one? Do they just disappear? And brace yourself for arcane insurance "plans" with crazy-quilt benefits that will screw consumers out of necessary services in "innovative" ways.

It is idiotic to presume that larcenous "health" insurance corporations are suddenly going to become good citizens when they are working right this minute on inventing ways to skirt the spirit of the law to maximize their profits. Boo. Bah. Where did single payer go? That's what the vast majority of the citizens wanted.
