The way I see it our problem begins with mass society's not having been able to figure out an economic model that does not depend on private ownership.
The key principle that was supposed to have been embodied in the Internet is the free exchange of information for the good of all. Then the technology came out of the garage and got into the hands of people whose lives revolve around money, and voila! War.
Money. War. This was the contradiction that the Internet was meant to resolve with knowledge. Free knowledge, no war.
