More for less.

Editor,

Rich people and giant corporations do not want to pay for services for poor and working citizens, so they leverage their enormous political power to thwart tax increases on themselves that would pay for those services.

Poor and working citizens who depend on social services for their health and very survival are therefore hit with increased fees, like higher bus fares, for decreased services, like less frequent buses.

The rich, who control the government and mass media, scare poor and working citizens with fairy tales that taxes must be increased on them, not on the rich, if adequate services are to be provided.

The result is that the rich continue to pay the lowest taxes that they have since WWII, and poor and working citizens pay increased fees for decreased services. A typical neoliberal scam.

Wake up, people. This is exactly what is happening in your town today, and it is going to get worse. *YOU* pay more for less so that rich people can increase the zeros in their portfolios.
