Who will stand and fight.

Editor,

We do not need an ivory-tower theorist on the Supreme Court.

We need an unapologetic activist who will stand against the deluge of intolerance, belligerence, and greed that is inundating our nation and fight for human rights and human decency.

Predictably, President Obama is extolling Elena Kagan's willingness to "listen to voices from every side" of every issue. What our president doesn't seem to grasp is that our country does not need another doormat ready to listen to the ravings of an insane mob but a leader ready to speak truth to the power of ignorance, xenophobia, and fear.
