Editor,
American corporations -- like Halliburton and it's been so long I forget the others -- profiteering off of the billion-dollar giveaways cynically branded "reconstruction" by the BushCo White House -- handed an electricity system that never worked after Rumsfeld bombed it to smithereens back to the Iraqi government, and now that it doesn't work is the Iraqi's fault. This reminds me of that old standby "taking responsibility for their own security" that the American punditocracy is so fond of blathering about when it is the Americans who destroyed Iraq, and it is the Americans who failed to secure it or rebuild it.
