Editor,
If your husband has been beating you for 30 years, does it again, and promises to change, maybe even you will realize it is time to kick him out of the house.
I can appreciate that Israel's continued supremacy over its Palestinian wards is paramount to the NYT editorial board, and I can appreciate that the NYT editorial board is bothered by fitful dreams when instability of any sort threatens that supremacy, but self-determination of the Egyptian people is not about Israel, and it is not about Iran. It is about Egypt, and it is now or never for Mubarak to go. Do you think that he will not round up, torture and murder as many who protested as he can if he is allowed to remain in power? Why are these protests framed as a problem for Mubarak's government, when the fact is that Mubarak is a problem for Egypt?
