Thugs.

The NYT is so in the pocket of Israel and so afraid of what might befall Israel if our $3 billion/year dictator in Egypt falls, that this article -- and especially the pictures accompanying it -- tries to paint the violence in the streets in Cairo as originating in the hands of the demonstrators: especially that picture of a man standing in front of of a burning car and snapped from an angle that makes it look like the flames in the car are a Molotov cocktail in his hands. Also, the "protesters" wielding iron rods are roving gangs of right-wing thugs beating demonstrators at the behest of Mubarak's so-called "security" forces.
