Taxes.

Editor,

The average taxpayer should not have to pay higher taxes, and Social Security and Medicare should not be cut, so that the top 5% of earners can pay an unrealistically low tax rate. Taxes should go up to their historically normal level ON THE TOP 5% OF EARNERS. Why is this so hard to explain to the man on the street, and why is it so hard for him to understand? Increasing taxes, as should be done, on the top 5% of earners DOES NOT RAISE TAXES ON THE OTHER 95% OF US.
