Crazed with certainty.

It has been and continues to be extremely frustrating to be an American who does know what's going on -- who reads books written by reliable journalists, listens to alternative media, knows how to read the NYT between the lines, doesn't watch TV.

Will all those dupes of the right-wing lie machine ever wake up? Will some event shake their confidence in the infallibility of Fox TV? I am pessimistic because the right is so well organized in the United States, but maybe someone will figure out how to get through to them.

Meanwhile, living here is like being a character in the "Night of the Living Dead," surrounded by brain-eating zombies armed to the teeth with assault weapons and crazed with certainty that the nonsense they believe is true.
