Bosses.

Editor,

"Lowering labor costs," says everything: Off-shoring manufacturing, busting what remains of organized labor in the United States, war on the middle class.

What Americans don't grasp as they passively watch the wealth of this nation being concentrated in fewer and fewer hands is that a police state to enforce economic inequality is the logical next step.

Complain a little, say a few eloquent words on a message board somewhere on the Internet. It doesn't do anything. The right-wing juggernaut is on a roll, and it is going to roll all over you unless you find the time and the sense of urgency to get out into the street with hundreds of thousands of your fellow citizens.

Bosses do not like taxes. They do not like regulations. They do not like unions, labor laws, or workers' rights. They like money, being in control; and they cry poverty as they take your wallet and empty it into theirs.
