Editor,
Progressive voters stayed away from the polls in 2010 because they were disillusioned. In 2012 they will be back in droves. Governorships and state and federal legislative offices should land in progressive hands provided candidates who walk the walk, not just talk the talk, are identified and fielded in the primaries. Even if no one challenges Obama in the primaries, a sea change is possible, but everything rests on finding real people's candidates and organizing to get them elected. Otherwise labor is lost in this country, and a police state is not far behind.
