Editor,
Mr. Obama strikes me as a nice guy, but like a lot of nice guys I have known he assumes that other people are nice, too.
He can't conceive personally of deliberately destroying the United States of America or millions of people's lives, so he assumes there are no other Americans, especially holding elected offices in this once-great country, who would do such a thing. But Mr. Obama is wrong.
All you have to do to comprehend the depths of unrepentant evil is look at Mussolini's fascist black shirts in 1920's Italy -- the beatings, the murders -- Hitler's brown shirts, Stalin's secret police.
These violent, destructive elements are not somehow products of something so foreign to America that they could never happen here. This evil lives in the hearts of men.
Do you think nice people murdered the American Indians? Enslaved the blacks? Swindled widows and orphans? Corrupted the global financial system to the point of collapse?
Mr. Obama thinks he is at war with the Taliban in Afghanistan and various other crazed militias who think they are fighting for their freedom. But he is at war right here in the United States with a faction that is every bit as evil as any that have crushed the weak underfoot in the past.
He just can't see it because they are Americans and they hold elected office. But they are destroying this country for their own ends, and they absolutely do not care who suffers and dies in the process.
