My money says the Republicans are resisting President Obama's war adventures for purely political reasons.
The wars after all, with the exception of Libya, are the same: Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan. And "fear of Islamist terrorism" (or more accurately cynical exploitation of 9/11 to impose Republican proto-fascism on the USA) is not "subsiding."
No, anything to tear down Mr. Obama and make the case that he is bad, bad, bad.
Remember: the Republicans do not stand for anything except extreme Dickensian capitalism. Whatever words they utter serve that god and no other.
