Pitting older against younger workers by threatening to renege on pension promises contracted for and worked to accumulate for 20 or 30 years unless the young are cut loose to fend for themselves when they come of age is a divide-and-conquer tactic the ruling class has used to attack grocery workers, auto workers, and state workers.

This is one more nail in the coffin of the American working class and billions more in the capitalists' pockets. Get yourself a cardboard box and look at some photographs of the dismal 3rd world slums the rich envision you will be living in when you have been downsized, outsourced, automated, or retired. No one is helping the desperately poor on this planet, and when you are in that fetid boat, no one will be helping you.
