The House delay is being staged to run out the clock. The strategy is to pass their cockamamie plan with 30 seconds left to play so the Senate and the White House have no alternative but to rubber stamp it to avoid default.

Probably better to let Wall Street go down in flames than to accept the Republican's recipe for disaster. Either way the 98% they do not represent will be screwed, so might as well bring down Wall Street, too.
