No quid pro quo. Raise the debt ceiling. Period. No spending cuts. If the Republicans refuse, excellent. There goes Wall Street. Yes, Americans will have to learn how to work together to survive (like the Greeks), but the cancer sucking the life blood out of our society will be dead.
