Republican platform:

1. Citizens have no right to defend themselves, via government regulation, from the predations of criminal banks and giant corporations -- because government has no business intruding on the private decisions of banks and giant corporations.

2. Religious fanatics, via government regulation, are entitled to inflict their crazy superstitions on women -- because women have no business making their own decisions about matters pertaining to their own health.

Republicans live in an upside-down world and are crazy as loons.

The bad news is they've had 30 years to brainwash large segments of the USA into believing their nonsense theories.
