Editor,
My favorite line in Michelle Obama's speech, and I loved many, was that the measure of a person's success is not how much money s/he makes but how much of a difference s/he makes in other people's lives.
So true, and so 180 degrees from the Republicans' take on the world.
I also thought that Tammy Duckworth was amazingly inspiring and that Julian Castro gave a wonderful keynote address.
Throughout the proceedings on day 1 of the DNC, I felt like genuine people who care about me were speaking to me honestly.
This is in contrast to the RNC, in which mean people piled lie upon lie to manipulate me into voting for them so they could pound me into the dirt.
