Annoying? Deadly.

American jingoists hold up Stalinism as the epitome of despotism -- which it was, worse than despotism if I could find the word for it -- and here they are implementing a police state more capable than any other the world has known.

When one's politics become grounds for imprisonment and worse -- as has happened under governments too numerous to name, many the average American does not know were installed, trained, and supported by the USA -- these intrusions into individuals' "privacy" will transcend annoyance and become truly deadly.
