Editor,
Taxpayers subsidize with food stamps and Medicaid the payrolls of multi-billion-dollar corporations that refuse to pay their employees a living wage.
Naturally, corporations' lackeys in government argue that these subsidies should end while corporations continue to pay their employees slave wages.
This in the wealthiest country in history.
I appreciate that the United States was founded on genocide and slavery and that the urges to kill and enslave are carved deep into the exceptional American psyche.
But certainly the only reason corporations are able to pocket virtually all of fruits of their employees' labor is because the American people allow it.
So the question is whether the 99% agree with corporate shills in Congress that corporations' employees should be cut loose altogether to grovel, starve, and die from lack of medical care or if in solidarity with one another all workers under the jack boot of corporate domination will demand justice for working people in the USA and across the globe.
