People are not as smart as they think they are. Meddling with nature always has unintended consequences. Left alone, nature will heal itself.

What people have to do is stop burning fossil fuels. This is a political issue of the highest order, and the solution to it is political.

People have devised their globalized capitalist system and their money-dominated political system. These are not nature's works, and nature cannot fix them -- at least not directly.

People should fix the dysfunctional economic and political systems that people have created. Nature will take care of itself.
