The U.S. government borrows half a trillion dollars per year from Americans' competitors in the global economy and spends it on "defense" -- more than all of the other nations of the world combined. Why savage Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid to rescue the American economy when cutting (eliminating?) military spending, and investing generously in on-shore-job-creating industry, would do the job humanely?
