Taxes.

Taxes work like wages for Republicans. Pay workers nothing, and you make a lot of money. Pay no taxes, and all the government services rich people and their businesses depend on are free. Well, workers can be taxed to pay for those. And the military's endless wars.

Services that most American citizens depend on -- especially workers, retirees, poor people, sick people, and children of families who are not rich -- do not matter. Those people are entitled to starve in the street.
