And you.

Editor,

The doors were locked at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory to keep workers from leaving the work area --- from sneaking out, in other words, according to their bosses' way of thinking, and goofing off instead of keeping their noses to the grindstone making the bosses as much profit as they possibly could ... on the absolute minimum the bosses could get away with paying.

This projection of the quality of thievery by corporate thieves onto their prey is seen everywhere, as are locked doors. Locked doors, for goodness sake.

And the sweat shop's corporate customers, like Walmart, "didn't know."

They "didn't know" because they do not want to know. They pressure their contractors mercilessly to produce more for less, and they turn a blind eye to any practice that makes them as much money as they possibly can make.

There are the kings, their retinues, and you.

You will die if necessary to make your bosses rich.
