Greece should have used the last 5 months to lay the foundation for jettisoning the euro and reinstating the drachma. Not having done this preparatory work, they are stuck in the vice in which primarily Germany has been tightening its head.
Selling national assets is essentially to watch the spoils of war being carted off to Berlin. Everyone knows the neoiliberal end-game is confiscation of national assets. They call it privatization, but primitive accumulation by another name is what it is.
Game, set, match.
Well played Schauble. Just spare us noises about saving Greece.
